New serpentine belt, new A/C belt, oil change, and a quick detail. Tomorrow, she goes to her first cruise-in car show. 56,660 miles now.
The factory amplifier is bad, meaning my left rear speaker doesn’t work (tried three different speakers) and I have to have the volume maxed to even be able to hear the radio at all. I did get the cassette (!) player working, though. The amp, the front struts, an alignment after the struts, and tinted windows are all that’s left on my “to-do” list.

How could anyone NOT like this car? It is so shiny!

My mechanic friend mentioned today that it needs an L67.

Your mechanic friend is suicidal. The J chassis cannot handle the L67 without turning into a pretzel.
Besides, the correct engine would be the LT3 with 5 speed manual.

I’ve seen some L67 Js online. Most get 3400s, though, if anything.

“Just because you can, doesn’t mean it isn’t
incredibly fucking stupid.
”
-Me. Approximately every ... 30 minutes, honestly.
Remember that I owned a J body. If the Citanion was made of tissue paper, the J body only improved it to 2 ply. Also: there is no manual transmission for the Buick V6 pattern. The LT3 was manual transmission by default.
And seriously, does this LOOK like a unibody design that can actually take any more stress? Car versus tree at approximately 30MPH:

Don’t know if you already have a source, but these guys are pretty well known in the C4 Vette community for knowing their stuff about GM factory audio from that era . I used them to repair the Bose control data module my Vette after a jug of water spilled in the trunk and ran down to the compatment where it was housed.
